Everyone is ordering winter tires...and I'm just hoping the rubber on my Mazda lasts until the GTI gets here in sometime in Jan. I'm almost at the wear-bars. Now I could slow it down a bit on the exit ramps, but where is the fun in that?

If they ain't squealing then they ain't peeling. Wait.. what? That sounded better in my head.
I did the bald tire run for a while. (Fwd + bald tires) / rainy weather = lots of traction broken fun ... Til the day I got home and heard that distinct hiss.

This wing will keep you pretty planted during winter. Downforce... Mk1 golfs are so classic.

If the Dealer offer the winter tire package, make sure its the Marangonni ICE 4+ tires. AND TAKE IT!
seriously, BEST. winter tires. EVER. My dad FWD audi A3 is better in the winter then my moms AWD IS250 on X-ice's2. We have 5 seasons on them now, and we are only replacing them because of age, they still have about 1/2 the tread depth when new...
worth. every. single. penny.

I don't even have the GTI yet...but I'll probably roll the dice on the all-seasons for this winter and look into it next season
